Prices, basket types and sizes
The content of the basket will vary depending on the moment of the season and the weather fluctuations. We planned a diversity of about 8 to 10 different vegetables per week. The term 'basket' refers to a share of the harvest which is the amount of vegetable a shareholder gets after the harvest is divided equally among all the shareholders.
Regular Season baskets: (18 weeks from late June to late October)
Single basket : It is the most popular size. It is perfect for a couple (with one or two kids). We recommend this size to get a full CSA experience.
Double basket : You get literally two (2) single shares every week. This size is convenient for large households and veggies 'aficionados' with a high level of vegetable consumption. You can also be wise and share a double share with a friend and hence get a single basket each for a very good price!
Special baskets: (delivered once in the season)
Pre-season basket: One size only. This basket will include asparagus, rhubarb, greenhouse cucumber, leafy vegetable and more... to whet your appetite. (in Early June) Price: 20.00$
Gardener's basket: (In early June, along with the pre-season basket)
Single: This basket includes 12 vegetable and herb seedlings of your choice. You will have to select your plants by filling the order form and send it back to us at [email protected] by May 1st 2014. Price: 30,00$
Double: This basket includes 24 vegetable and herbs seedlings of your choice. You will have to select your plants by filling the order form and send it back to us at [email protected] by May 1st, 2014. Price: 55,00$
Post-Season basket: One size only. This basket will include a large diversity of storage vegetables and some late leaf vegetables that will keep your warm in the upcoming winter. (Mid-November) 30,00$
The shareholder will receive its fair share of the harvest but he must be aware that weather conditions, pests and diseases can damage the crop and hence affect the content of their share.
